Hey Miguel! To improve your suspension I recommend upgrading the equalizer. The best option is the one that matches your current equalizer length. This is measured from the left to the right bolt hole on center. A fairly common size is 5-3/4" which would match the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00.

The E-Z Flex equalizers will absorb road shock and smooth out your ride. This kit also includes wet bolts and heavy-duty shackle straps. If you have different dimensions let me know in the comments below and I'll help you find the right fit.

I'm assuming you have electric brakes right now. If they're underperforming you can replace them, or you can move to disc brakes. Based on the specs you probably have 3,500 lb axles, make sure to verify this information. If that is correct you can replace them with the # AKEBRK-35-SA or use a kit like # HYD42FR for disc brakes.

Any big trips coming up once you upgrade your trailer?

Haven’t pulled the trailer (coachman freedom express 192rbs 6000 gvrw) installing my self after breaking the left rear leaf spring. Replaced all 4 springs everything went together easily. Service and info from etrailer was great. Planning a trip as soon as we get some new tires.

Dexter E-Z Flex kit made a significant difference in my trailer handling, significantly reduced "purposing" on older roads. Also reduced impact jolting. I had also installed Roadmaster shocks which reduced sway on curves and windy days. Even if you installed new springs replace the eyelet bushings with the bronze ones in the kit - the nylon bushings will fail prematurely and allow the leaf springs to shift and move. Plus, the greaseable shackle bolts in the equalizer kit are greaseable, couple of squirts a year prevents wear. These upgrades along with a Curt Tru-Track WD hitch allows me to safely tow 28ft/7000lb RV trailer with a 2014 GMC Yukon Denali. Good luck on your project. For what it's worth - if the brakes are original from 2011 - replace "em. Age catches up with everything. Don't want to compromise on brakes.

I suggest installing the Dexter E-Z Flex kit including the wet bolts and Heavier Shackles. The Equalizer takes lots of the bounce and jerking out of my 5th wheel Toy hauler. Things in the back don't move near as much as they did before the install. I have 6,000 miles since the install and everything looks good. The wet bolts are easy to grease, and I feel will make the brass bushings last many years. The installation process can be done by the owner if you are mechanical and have the proper tools, jacks and stands but it will take several hours. I have done my own maintenance for many years and I installed mine; the advice I would give is make sure and don't force things together, especially the shoulder bolts.
