Does Install of Solar Setup on Trailer Require Protecting Vehicle Battery

Hello, in staling solar on my trailer. do i need to do anything with truck wiring? As far as protecting the alternator on my truck. Thank you.

Hey Jeff, this is a good question but no you do not need to do anything to protect the wiring of your truck when going to a solar setup. The charge controller like the part # GP76QR that you referenced won't overcharge the battery of the trailer or the wiring from the battery up to the tow vehicle battery. What solar setup are you installing?
