I need a trailer wiring harness for a 2025 Kia sorento sx,2.5 turbo engine fwd prefer a 7 pin if available what item number do I need to look at

Hi Robert; does your 2025 Kia Sorento SX have the tow package? If it does, you can use the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # TK24FR. This will give you a 7-way and a Tekonsha brake controller port, although you can use any brake controller if you prefer something else.
It looks like the SX has LED lights so if you do not have the factory tow package you will need the Curt # C59236 which will provide you with a 4-way. You can upgrade to a 7-way using the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, breakers, and everything else needed for installation.

Hi Robert, my name is Andres. I have a 2020 Kia Sedona, and I think the system is the same as yours. Mine comes pre-installed, so it's not difficult to install. Whether it's worth installing the 7-pin connector depends on what you're going to connect, as that way you can use the parking brake if you're transporting a camper with an electric brake. You will need to buy the parking brake adapter, which I also bought here (it's installed inside the cabin).
