Question:
Hi hope you are well. I enjoy your videos and I installed a Westin 57-93835 HDX Winch Mount Grille Guard on my 2020 F150 XLT 5LV8 crew cab 4x4 with a 12000lbs capacity winch. The truck is sagging and I finally decided to level it. I watched your videos but cant decide which one is the best between: MotoFab Lifts F150-2.5 - 2.5 Front Leveling Lift Kit That Will Raise The Front Of Your F150 2.5 or ReadyLift 66-2215 Front Leveling Kit 2.25. What will bring me to the best level look? I do haul tow and RV but use a weight distribution hitch - Equalizer. My boat does not have weight distribution hitch. Rv and boat each weigh 5000LBS maybe 6000 and that is my max tow that I will be hauling at a time. What leveling kit between the two mentioned would you advise?

Hey Jacobus, welcome back! Happy to hear you like our videos. We don't carry any of those parts, however I've got a similar grille guard setup with a leveling kit on my Silverado 1500 so I'll offer some insight.
The forward sag or rake is designed intentionally to help when you're towing. I installed a lift leveling kit on my Silverado that raised it about a 1/2" in the rear but leveled the front end by lifting it 2-1/2". It tows terribly now because the tongue weight just pushes the rear end down and the front end stays up. The likelihood of you being able to use a weight distribution hitch with a boat trailer is pretty slim so you'll want to consider that. I haul yards of rock and mulch, along with drywall and other construction tools/materials and I look like I have a Carolina lift when I am heavily loaded down.
If you do go forward with leveling the front end of your F-150, you'll most likely have the same issues I have. To address the sag in your rear end when towing, I recommend the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit item # RAS3611-YHD. This system adds an additional leaf spring to your suspension, which props it up under weight. It can be fine tuned adjustment wise for comfort or completely removed when you're not towing.
As far as a recommendation on how to level your F-150's front end, I am super happy with my Rough Country kit. I highly recommend getting a setup with greaseable ball joints and control arms designed specifically for a lift. The change in angle from factory definitely wore mine out completely in less than 50,000 miles and the only off-roading I do is on gravel roads.

I recommend the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit to address the rear sagging issue in the rear of the F150 when you have a load in the bed of the truck and when you are towing w/out a weight distribution system. The unit is easily set up for your normal day driving and as long as you preloaded and adjusted the spring correctly your truck will tow excellent with out much squatting. The truck actually rides better with the RAS suspension with a normal load in the back. I have decked drawers in the bed and have them pretty full. Love the way it rides. Thanks, Jim sisk

The RoadActive Suspension enhancement system I installed on my 2020 Ford F150 is working great for me. My goal was to eliminate the sag in the rear end of my pickup and improve towing. I tow a 2021 Grand Design Imagine Travel trailer with a dry weight of 6,050 pounds. After installing the RAS system, the rear end sag was eliminated and the stability while towing my travel trailer improved. I set the tension on my RAS system near the maximum. Overall, the ride of my pickup is a little stiffer when I don't have a load in the back or towing. The ride is as expected with the RAS. I choose not to adjust the tension on the system when not loaded or towing. Michigan roads will put any suspension system to the test. I am very happy with the RoadActive Suspension system and I would recommend this system to reduce sag and improve stability. The RAS helped me achieve my two goals to eliminate pickup sag and improve towing stability. Thanks, Mike N.

Hello.. Installed ARS on my 2015 F-150 4x4 Lariat.. Easy install .. I was more concerned about towing than load handling. Towing experience is great… what a difference… very pleased. Stability of truck is great … towing .. with a load or just unloadsd… Can’t say enough good about ARS.
