Is there a Way to Install a Quick Connect on a Dynaglo LPFA60Q Propane Heater

Updated 03/04/2026 | Published 01/31/2026

Question:

I have a Dynaglo LPFA60Q propane heater on a 20lb propane tank. It has a 5 PSI regulator on the OEM hose. Is there a way to have a quick disconnect mostly on the tank side when I take it in for a tank swap? Also if not too expensive on the heater side too. What would I need for those?

Hey Steve. I took a look at your Dynaglo LPFA60Q propane heater and the included hose. There's no way to add a quick connect on the hose side because you have the built in regulator. All of our quick connect hoses with POL fittings like item # 100794-72-MBS don't have regulators.

You could potentially put a quick connect directly on the heater but I don't think that would speed up the tank swapping process or make it any easier. The fitting size wasn't listed on any of the manuals for your heater. We have the item # 104052-401132 with 1/4" NPT fittings.

Hey Steve, did you end up trying the quick-disconnect kit on your Dynaglo heater? It’d be great to hear if it made your tank swaps any easier. Your update could help others looking for a similar setup.
