Question:
OPT88UB light kit my trailer lights could be as much as 55’ behind my pin connector on the pulling vehicle to the magnetic lights on the rear of trailer will they work? What is your recommendation on distance from transmitter to the lights? Would they work 110 foot back if I were pulling 2 trailers one behind the other? And do you have any type available that would magnetic attach to back of flat surface of trailer? Or a system available that works and does not require batteries? That works completely of of the vehicle power source?

Hello Curtis,
Great question, the Optronics Wireless Magnetic LED Trailer Lights Battery Powered Stop/Turn/Tail Kit with Transmitter # OPT88UB can work up to 65 feet away from the transmitter.
What kind of trailer are you going to be towing? Will you be regularly towing this trailer? I am trying to get to know your set-up better, sounds like adding lights to the trailer might be your best bet. It isn't too hard to do and it will run off the power from your towed vehicle.

Hey Curtis, did you end up adding lights to your trailer instead of using the wireless magnetic kit? Knowing how that setup worked could really help others trying to cover a long distance between their vehicle and trailer.
