Question:
Hey guys, I’ve had cheap jump starters die on me before because I forgot to keep them charged. How is the Projecta stuff any different? Just wondering why it's a bit pricier lol. thanks, Alan

Hey Alan! Totally fair question lol.
One of the biggest differences with Projecta Intelli-Start models like the # VX95NR 900A and # VX63NR 1,200A is that they recharge themselves after every successful jump. Once the engine is running, the alternator back-charges the jump pack automatically, usually topped off within 40 seconds. That’s something most low-cost jump starters - and even many name-brand ones - simply don’t do. For that convenience feature alone, I'd opt for this lineup.
So instead of remembering to top it off every few months, it’s basically self-maintaining as long as it gets used occasionally. Add in the built-in safety systems and spark-free clamps, and it’s a much more “grab-and-go” experience than the bargain packs that tend to fail when you need them most.
Another thing is the fact that they are lithium-iron batteries which is better than most brands, usually having a lithium-cobalt. These higher end batteries tend to last longer, hold up to weather changes better, and won't swell or catch fire if faults occur.
How often do you realistically see yourself using it - once a year, or more often helping friends and family? Ideally I guess you don't ever plan to need a jump start haha.
