Question:
Can I use one in the mddle or should I use one on top and bottom?

Hey PJ, most RV doors have a hinge at the top and bottom so you'd just need to replace on of them with the part # LC22NJ so that you get the controlled motion feature of the setup that prevents the door from swinging feely and instead will stop wherever you leave it.
Now if you had a three hinge setup on your door then yes you could just replace the middle one with the part # LC22NJ and that would work fine.
Is your door slamming around in the wind currently?

You don't need two, it holds just fine with one. The other one or two are just regular ones. We followed a Youtube video that really helped.
