Hey Mike, to install a brake controller in your 2006 Itasca Meridian built on a Freightliner chassis the plug will be under the dash near the steering column and the correct harness is the part # 3027-P which will let you wire in a brake controller like the very popular P3 part # 90195. This is the best performing and easiest to understand brake controller so we recommend it the highest.

I concur as it was also true on my 2005 National Tropical T396. I probably took me longer to open the package that it came in than it did for me to install it.

After searching, the wire harness was indeed under the dash in the area of the steering column on my 2004 Winnebago Journey 36G. Truly plug and play!
