Can Two Solar Panels Be Added to Setup With Single Panel and 30 Amp Solar Controller

Updated 12/07/2025 | Published 12/06/2025

Question:

I have a go power 200 watt panel currently installed with a 30amp controller from factory, can I add 2 more panels for a total of 600 watt without changing the 30 amp controller? I know this puts me close to 30 amp but nothing ever operates at 100.

Hey Tom! Yes, you can add two of the # 34282182 to your setup. I have 3 of these panels on my trailer, which you can see below, and I'm using the 30 amp # GP76QR. This will be the limit of the controller. You will also want some self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1 and butyl tape # AL28FJ to complete the installation.

What kind of trailer do you have?

@TomW you're welcome. The Accolade XL will have plenty of room for those extra panels. I forgot to mention if you want to run everything through a single set of connectors like we did in the picture you can use the # GP82VR and # GP22VR. Let me know if you need anything else!
