Question:

I just bought a 2004 HR Scepter. The ladder is fine, but the extension piece is missing. I have to use a step ladder to reach the first rung of the RV ladder. Help!

Hey Patrick, congrats on your new motorhome! We don't have an extension ladder made specifically for your 2004 HR Scepter but so long as the vertical supports of the current ladder are 1" diameter you can use the Stromberg Carlson RV Ladder Extension item # LA-148. This extension is 48" long and has 3 non-slip rungs which will allow you to easily reach the ladder on the back of your coach. It uses rubber straps that wrap around your ladder's uprights to secure it.

One of the best perks about the RV Ladder Extension item # LA-148 is it can be stored on your Scepter's ladder so you don't have to make space for it inside your motorhome.

Do you have any fun trips planned to break in your new motorhome?

This extension works well for me, and it can be stored on the main ladder as illustrated by the photo of my rv.

@Patrick, I purchased this ladder from trailer.com. I have a Forest River RPOD trailer. The RPOD ladder’s 1st step was too high off the road, and I initially needed a step ladder to reach the trailer ladder. The Stromberg Carlson ladder extension fixed that problem. Now I just attach the extension to the bottom of my RV ladder. I carry the extension ladder in my RV pass thru storage area and always have it when traveling. James H
