Question:
I have a RWD 2025 Ford Ranger 7500 Tow. Can this WDH be used with a NoBo18.2 With the Beast Mode Package Curt Independant Suspension? The NB18.2 has a GVWR of 5370. I have heard that a WDH should NOT be used with a Curt Independant Suspension. Thank You!

Hey Bill, great question! To get right down to it, you can use a weight distribution hitch like the Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET on your NB18.2. I went back and forth with Curt/Lippert a little bit on this, and the main concern seems to be someone taking their trailer off-road with the WDH still hooked up.
I believe they're being overly cautious because of the nature of the trailers this system has been added to at this time. In the end, I arrived at them saying it can be used as long as you have a properly rated system and follow the proper procedures while using it.
Equal-i-zer makes one of the best systems on the market so you really can't go wrong with this hitch. This particular version is rated for 200 lbs - 600 lbs of tongue weight so you want to make sure you're in that range when fully loaded. You will also need a 1-7/8" 12pt Shallow Socket # ALL643216 for hitch ball installation.
Any big trips coming up with your NOBO?
