Can I use the Yakima Lift Brackets ReelDeal or Big PowderHound and PowderHound On Both Ends

Can the brackets be installed on both sides of the Yakima Reel deal racks 4 total to provide even clearance across the roof of the vehicle?

Hey, Michael.
I wasn't 100% sure on this so reached out to Yakima directly. They let me know that the Lift Brackets for Yakima ReelDeal or Big PowderHound and PowderHound Carriers part # Y8860037 can only go on the interior side of the mount in order to tilt it. If you were to use them on both sides at the same time, all of the weight would be put on just those two pieces of plastic, instead of the mounts/bars.
This adapter is made to provides the room away from the roof needed for all your gear. It's not designed or rated to bear the full weight of the rack and gear.
