Good morning, I would like to know if there is a possibility of making a lighter goosetech in the future. My unit max weight is 10,000. Thank you

Hey Ron. For a 5th wheel trailer that has a Rhino-Box pin box that weighs less than 10,000 lbs you'll want the MORryde GooseTech 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert Rhino item # MR64MV. This one is designed to work with trailer's that weigh less than 11,500 lbs. This pin box will work with your 5th wheel trailer so long as you're replacing a Lippert or Curt Rhino-Box.

You will also need the Safety Chain with 2 Hooks item # GY49GR. Safety chains are required for gooseneck connections and they are not included with the pin boxes. These will attach to that cross looking cutout by the MORryde logo.

What make and model 5th wheel trailer do you have and does it have a Rhino pin box?

Jerred, Thanks for getting back to me. My current one is a Turning Point on a Grand Design Reflection 240RL. I hope that will work. Is there any videos for installation? Ron

@RonE You're welcome and thanks for the additional information. I only have two options that will convert a Turning Point pin box into a gooseneck pin box and MORryde isn't one of them. I have listed them below: Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY48GR - Safety Chains item # GY49GR Shocker Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Coupler Kit w/ Demco eZ-Latch item # SHK29YR - Safety Chains item # RP49151 I've attached an installation video we did on a Gen-Y gooseneck pin box below. We have not had a chance to make one for a Shocker Hitch pin box. MORryde currently only has GooseTech pin boxes for the Lippert 1621SHD, Rhino, 1116, and 1716 pin box bolt patterns.
