Are Bolts that Come with Dexter Heavy Duty Hanger Kit # K71-449-00 Wet Bolts

Question:
Hi..getting ready to order kit K71-449-00 for my flat bed tandem axle trailer as all dimensions noted are accurate. Question re the wet bolts as my app has no zerks... just bolts and nuts and the hangar straps are only 3/16 wide vs 1/2 in the kit..will work? Also a few reviews noted easily stripped nuts on the bolts on the supplied ones...what Grade are they..and can I get upgraded wet bolts...tks

Hey Pete, yes all of the bolts that come with the Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Hanger Kit part # K71-449-00 are wet bolts and have zerk fittings.
The shackles are wider at 1/2 inch which the bolts that come with this kit are long enough to accommodate. The bolts and nuts that come with this aren't designed to be really cranked down so they shouldn't get stripped.

The wet bolts are the way to stop squeaking in the spring shackles and lubricate reduces friction. However grease the bolts before tightening, as recommended.

All the parts worked perfectly on my 18’ flat bed tandem Trailer this was a used and abused unit have had plenty of 400+ mile road trips loaded road great couldn’t believe the difference

Everything is included and will make servicing much easier, just make sure the zero fittings are accessible.
