Hey Larry. A class III hitch like the Trailer Mate item # TMT49FR is going to have plenty of capacity to pull a 3,000 lbs trailer. This hitch is custom fit for your 2002 Chevrolet Express Van. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a maximum tongue weight of 500 lbs. It comes with all hardware necessary to complete the installation.
Please note that the item # TMT49FR hitch fits the full size, cargo, and passenger van. It does not fit the Cutaway chassis models.
Does your van have the wiring harness you need to control your trailer's lights and brakes?
