Question:
I would like to know if the WF98FR power converter is a Genuine Waco product and does it have the latest firmware? My concern is that people are receiving this product and it does not auto detect as advertised. Any info uni guys can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hello Rick,
Do you mean WFCO inverter rather than Waco? The WFCO Auto-Detect RV Converter Charger, 12V, 65A # WF98FR is absolutely a genuine WFCO product. This model is their official WF-9865-AD-CB Auto-Detect converter, and will comes with the current WFCO production firmware.
It will indeed auto-detect your battery type as advertised, switching between lead-acid and lithium charging profiles automatically.
What kind of camper is this going in Rick? What was your favorite adventure for 2025? Where did you go, what did you see?

Hey Rick, how did the WFCO Auto-Detect converter work out in your camper? Did the auto-detect feature switch between battery types like you expected? Your update could make it easier for others choosing between converters.
