Question:
Is the 5000lb weight limit for a single chain? Since the trailer would have two of these can I assume they would be good for 10,000lb? I have a boat trailer that is prob right at 5000 - 5500lb loaded. I also need them to be 48” long. The trailer currently has the coiled cables that are short and hard to hook up. Looking for just standard chains rated for my trailer. I am fairly sure the capacity of the trailer is 7000lb because it has 2 3500lb axles.

Hey Ronald, the safety chain set part # TCTSCG30-748-04x2 that you referenced is rated as a pair for 5,000 lb. Since your trailer is rated for 7k you'd want something like the Curt # C80031 which is rated for 5k for each chain and is 47 inches similar to what you are looking for. Did your old ones break?

No, they did not break. My trailer has the coiled type cables that are almost too short and are a pain to connect. Want to get rid of them and just put regular chains.
