Question:

Can someone confirm that item number DM6166 will fit part DM88XR? I aske because the 2 appears to have a curved shape where bolts mount where the 2 5/16 models are flat.

Hey Richard, yes the hardware kit part # DM68UV is correct hardware kit for the Demco Trailer Coupler # DM88XR. That curve shape in the corners of the coupler are compensated for with the hole design in the coupler. Do you have the channel already welded to your trailer frame.

Yes sir, it has one of the Curt "bulldog style " hitches and I'm not a fan so upgrading to the demco. I appreciate the help!

Wouldn't the 6378 Demco 2-Bolt Channel Mount Coupler Hardware Kit be a better fit? (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Demco/DM68UV.html) I bought the 4 bolt version, and it is too tight to fit the lock nuts inside. I bet someone could make it work, but I think a two-bolt version is intended (Demco product catalog seems to recommend that)
