Will Installation of B&W Base Rails in 2005 Chevy Silverado 3500 Require Drilling Holes in Frame

Question:
Will the BWRVK2500 work for a 2005 3500 Silverado extended cab long bed without drilling into the frame and just drilling into the bed?

Hey Will! In most cases you will only be drilling holes in the bed to install the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2500. However, the existing holes in the frame will have to be enlarged using a 9/16" drill bit. Occasionally the holes don't line up properly and aren't centered on the brackets. If that happens, you need to re-drill the 1/8" holes so they are aligned.
Do you already have a 5th wheel hitch?

Hey Will, how did things go with the B&W base rail kit on your Silverado? Were the frame holes already close enough to line up, or did you have to re-drill them? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on the same setup.
