2" Trailer Hitch To Carry Thule Ebike Rack On Back Of 2025 Honda CR-V Sport

Question:

I just bought a 2025 Honda CR-V Sport and want to use a Thule bike rack for two e-bikes. Will this TowSmart hitch handle that weight?

For sure, Angela. The TowSmart # TS67ZR is ideal for that - it’s a Class III, 2-inch receiver rated for 675 lbs tongue weight, so it can easily handle heavy-duty racks or e-bikes. The receiver sits about 13-1/4” from the ground, giving plenty of clearance for ramps or tilt-away racks.

If you’re only hauling bikes, you won’t need trailer wiring or a ball mount - but it’s nice knowing the hitch can handle towing later if you want.

Thanks, Andrew! My rack is the Thule EasyFold. Do you know if the tilt-away will still clear the CR-V’s hatch?

@Angela Hey, yes, the Thule EasyFold works really well on the CR-V with the TowSmart # TS67ZR. The hitch pin is set back only about 2", so when you use the tilt-away feature, the rack clears the liftgate on the 2025 CR-V without any trouble.
