Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter Try To Charge Batteries

Question:
Looking at purchasing a progressive dynamic 2000 watt inverter with auto transfer switch, my question is will that unit try to charge my battery while in inverter mode, I have heard some other brands will and drains there battery

Hey Tim! The Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD64FR will not charge your batteries. This is strictly an inverter, not an inverter charger. As long as you wire everything properly it isn't a concern.
The only way it could charge the batteries would be if you ran the AC power from this back to a separate converter on the trailer, which would then convert it back to DC, creating a power loop which would drain the batteries over time.
What are you adding the inverter for?
