Question:
Not an electrician but will: I have to turn off the stock converter to use it? Or will it require me to rewire the converter?

Expert Reply:
The Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch - Remote - 2,000 Watts - 12V Item # PD64FR will pull DC current from your battery and convert it to AC current for when you aren't hooked up to shore or generator power. The integrated transfer switch automatically changes from inverter to shore power when you hook up at the campground so you won't have to turn your converter on and off. If you look at the attached instruction manual you'll see how to wire the inverter into your RV's system with the converter.
Note: Always remove the power when installing electrical equipment for the safety of you and your equipment.
