What is Ply Rating of Provider Trailer Tire Size ST175/80R13 TTWTRTM1758013C

Question:

I am looking at buying these Provider STs for my trailer ST175/80R13. I do not see the Tire Plies for these. Also, how can I be sure to get tires that are fairly new? Do you have any of almost the same tire but with a Higher Load Range than C like D?

Hey John, the ply rating of the Provider ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWTRTM1758013C is 6. We sell so many trailer tires that basically nothing sits on our shelves for very long and you for sure will get newer tires.

In this tire size we do have a Load Range D with the part # KE78KV. This has a ply rating of 8.

Hey John, how did things work out with the Karrier Load Range D tires for your trailer? Were they the upgrade you were hoping for over the Provider Load Range C tires? Your feedback could help others choosing between these two options.

@JamesonC Still shopping. I want to go to my Goodyear dealer and discuss the viability of getting Passenger Car Tires in my size, ST175/80R13. But if I go with ST Tires, I am interested in the Carlstar (Carlisle) ST175/80R13 Load Range D. Are those something I could buy thru you?

@JohnC On a trailer you really want to stick with ST tires and not run a passenger vehicle tire as they weren't designed for the vertical weight that a trailer will see. We have great LR D tires in the size you need of 175/80R13 like the part # AM10210 but we don't carry the Carlisle brand at this time. What drew you to the Carlisle?
