Looking For A Replacement Mounting Bracket And Cradle For My Tekonsha Primus IQ Controller

Question:

Hello, I have a Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller that I would like to be able to install in our other vehicle, but Im drawing a blank when I try to find a mounting bracket and/or the plastic cradle. They all seem to be discontinued or out of stock. Are there any available? Thanks.

Hey Steven,

The replacement bracket and cradle for that Tekonsha Primus IQ is not a product we carry any longer. However it is not gone forever. I recommend giving Tekonsha a call directly and they will be able to hook you up with those replacement parts to get it installed in your other vehicle.

Hey Steven, were you able to get the replacement bracket and cradle from Tekonsha for your Primus IQ? Knowing what worked could help others trying to reuse their controller in another vehicle.

@NickS I contacted Tekonsha for replacement brackets and they never got back to me. With customer service like that, I'll never purchase another Tekonsha product again. They should take a lesson in customer service from you guys as you've always gone above and beyond. I did purchase a Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness with Dash Knob from you guys as this appears to be a better controller for my needs.

@StevenT I am sorry to hear that you were not able to get ahold of them for that replacement part. I am glad you were able to find another option that looks like it will work better for you though. You'll have to let me know how it works out for you.
