How Snug Will B&W Trailer Hitch be to a '79 Ford F-150 Bumper?

Just wondering how this hitch will fit on my 1979 f150 shortbed 4x4. I want a hitch that is tucked as tight as possible to the bottom of the bumper. Thanks

Hey Tim, thanks for reaching out!
The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122 sits 5.438" below where it mounts to the truck frame (see attached photo). I'm not sure where this will sit exactly on a '79 F-150, but you can take this measurement and see how it relates to your truck and bumper.
From what I'm seeing in the reviews that people have left, this hitch tends to look a bit more snug on the Ford trucks, but it's best to compare the dimensions on your end so you know exactly what you're getting into.
Let me know what you find out either way! I'd love to know how well this fits!
