Question:
I have a 1986 Chevy K20 with an aftermarket rear bumper. I am concerned the receiver will not be low enough to go under my bumper. Can you tell me how low the top of the receiver from the frame is so I can take a measurement? Thank You

Expert Reply:
The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122 that will fit your 1986 Chevy K20 will measure 5.438" from the top of the frame brackets to the top of the receiver. If this is looking like it will not be enough to clear the bottom of your bumper, the # BWHDRH25198 may be the better option. This will measure 7.906" when also measured from the top of the frame brackets to the top of the receiver. Both of these American made Class V hitches will have the same 2" receiver opening as well as 16,000 pound towing capacity and 1,600 pound tongue weight capacity.
