Hey Jeffrey, thanks for reaching out!
To replace your 13.5K Btu Carrier AC you'll need a whole new system, and I can make sure the one I recommend comes with the air distribution box that has the thermostat built into it.
For your application I recommend the Advent Air Low Profile which comes in Black # ADV25SR as well as White # ADV45SR. This has the air distribution box with the thermostat and controls on it, so you'll be manually adjusting the settings near the ceiling.
Do you like having the controls on the ceiling box, or would you rather have a thermostat on the wall?

Hey Jeffrey, how did things go with the Advent Air Low Profile AC and its ceiling-mounted controls? Your feedback could really help others deciding between that setup and a wall thermostat.
