Does The Valterra E-Valve Electric Waste Valve VAL45MB Need To Be Mounted Vertically?

Can these valves be clocked any other direction than vertical?

Hi Spencer!
The Valterra E-Valve Electric Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank - 3" Spigots # VAL45MB can be mounted with the handle at 9 o'clock, 12 o'clock, and 3 o'clock, but I would not mount it in the 6 o'clock position. It would be hanging down too far and would very likely get damaged at some point. Plus there would probably be issues with the handle if you needed to use it.
Having the handle at the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position is actually more common than the 12 o'clock/vertical position, but how are you wanting to orient it?
