Hi Ryan!

The Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Brackets for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56016 will only fit a 2011 to 2016 Ford F250, so you will need to go with a different option. We have you covered though, and for your 2008 you will want the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Brackets # RP56005.

Do you already have the Reese Universal Outboard Base Rails # RP30153? These brackets will only fit with these rails due to their design. I included a picture showing the different lengths for reference.

I will have to check my rails. The brackets for them are welded to the frame on an old truck I had. So was hoping to just get new brackets. Is there anyway to know the length of the ones I’ll need to see if the ones I have will work??

@Ryan Honestly, if they are coming out of an old truck, I would replace both the rails and brackets. I know that isn't what you wanted to hear, but there is a good chance the rails won't fit the new brackets properly. There have been some subtle changes over the years and they don't always match up. If you check out the picture I attached to your original question, I do have the length of the different style rails (though the measurements are a little hard to read due to the red text I used). The outboard ones measure 48 inches long and the standard rails measure 43 inches long, so it will be pretty easy to tell the difference. If they measure 43 inches, you would want to use the standard inboard brackets # RP50082. But again, the rails you have may still not fit properly. And I do have to also point out that you cannot mix and match brands. They have to be Reese rails for either of these option (# RP30153 for the outboard or # RP58058 for these inboard style brackets). Again, I know this is all a bummer to hear, but I don't want you to go through more trouble than you have to. Or have something possibly fail. That would be very bad, to put it lightly.

@Lazeryes I totaly agree. I see the rails that i will need also are out of stock until January. I’ll keep checking back to see if they are in stock before then. Unless there is an option that has both that I can’t find on hear yet.

@Ryan There is another option with the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford - Glossy Finish # C16448-104. This is another full kit (rails, brackets, and hardware), but the price is really good at the moment and it is custom fit to your truck. If you can't end up waiting for the Reese to come into stock, this is the way I would go.
