Hey Christine,
What kind of hitch do you have on your vehicle? Assuming you have a 2" hitch we carry a Curt Dual Hitch Extender # D-192 which is going to give you a 3-1/2" rise from your hitch. That is the closest adapter we carry that will allow you to use the cargo carrier. The important thing to keep in mind is using a hitch adapter like this in any circumstance will reduce the overall capacity of your hitch by 50%. You will need to make sure that with that reduction you can still safely handle the weight of the carrier.
What kind of vehicle are you using this with?
