Question:
I have a 2017 crossroads rezerve 34rl, the main unit went out months after buying rv new. Had it replaced and now it doesn’t cool like it should. It is a dometic brisket II 15k unit, it is ducted and runs off the thermostat. Looking for a direct replacement that will work with the system

Hey Brice, thanks for all of the information. I have a solution but I am sorry to say but there isn't going to be a direct fit replacement for your Dometic Brisk II. There's two reasons for that.
The first is in 2025 all RV AC systems had to change over to a new coolant called R32. This was a EPA mandated decision. Part of this upgrade means that nothing made with the R32 coolant in it, like item # ADV26SR you were looking at, fits any system made before 2025 that has the older R410A coolant. R32 is more efficient but none of the new components work with the prior systems like your 2017 CrossRoads Longhorn Rezerve has.
The second reason an Advent AC like item # ADV26SR isn't going to work is we found out about this time last year that those wiring harness are not actually compatible with other systems like Dometic. The connections can physically be made but the pin functions on the connectors stopped lining up. Additionally, mixing and matching brands voids all warranties.
So even though your AC system is only a few years old, in order to replace the AC unit you have to replace the entire system. This includes the AC unit, the air distribution box, and a thermostat.
To replace your 15,000 btu Dometic Brisk II air conditioning system, you'll want the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System item # ADV62SR. This system comes with a 15,000 btu ac unit, an air box that works with both ducted setups, a start capacitor, and a thermostat.
Do you have a furnace tied into your Brisk II setup?
You can add this information and any other questions or concerns you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
