Features to know about

Keeps the Heat Under Control: 13,500 Btu Cooling Capacity

When temperatures start climbing, this system’s 13,500 Btu of cooling power keeps the interior comfortable without breaking a sweat. The large evaporator and condenser coils with raised lance fins pull heat out efficiently, giving you steady cooling that holds up even in hot weather. You walk in and the air feels dry, cool, and breathable instead of heavy and sticky.

Delivers Even Airflow from Every Vent: Ducted Design with 320 CFM Output

No more cold spots or weak vents. This ducted setup moves air through your ceiling vents at 320 CFM for consistent temperatures across the space. Open the louvers for direct air when you need a quick blast or close them to send cool air evenly through the ducts. It’s balanced comfort instead of one area freezing while another still feels warm.

Makes Installation Easier: Matched Kit with Rooftop Unit, Air Box, and Thermostat

All the main components—rooftop unit, air distribution box, and single-zone thermostat—are designed to work together right out of the box. The system fits a standard 14-1/4" × 14-1/4" roof opening, which keeps installation straightforward whether you’re tackling it yourself or having someone else handle it. With the pieces already matched, there’s less guesswork and fewer surprises during setup.

Simple to Use and Maintain: EZReach Filter and Ceiling Controls

Everything you need is within easy reach. The controls sit right at ceiling level with simple knobs for fan speed and temperature, no remote or complicated menu required. The swing-open grille gives quick access to the washable EZReach filter—just pull it out, rinse it clean, and snap it back in place. It’s quick upkeep that keeps airflow strong trip after trip.

Adds Warmth When Mornings Turn Cold: Heat-Ready Design

On chilly mornings when a full furnace cycle feels like overkill, this system is prepped for an optional 5,600 Btu heat strip (sold separately). It installs easily and helps take the edge off without adding extra noise or big power draw. The result is comfort that stretches past summer into those cooler shoulder seasons.

Video Transcript for Review of Coleman-Mach RV Air Conditioners - Signature Mach 3 Ducted Sys Polished Black - CM55RR

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 13,500 BTU ducted RV air conditioner system with this polished black shroud. Now one of the biggest headaches in RV repairs is figuring out which parts are going to work together. This kit's gonna help take all that off of your plate. This rooftop unit comes with this air distribution box and thermostat that are all designed to work together, so the installation's gonna be a whole lot smoother for you and nothing should catch you off guard. So whether you're doing the install yourself or you're paying someone else to do it, having everything designed together in a kit is going to make your job a whole lot faster, easier, cleaner, and it's gonna be a whole lot less stressful for you.

Now this is made for RVs with ducted air and with 13,500 BTUs of cooling power. This system is going to move air through your existing ceiling ducts to give you enough cooling power for those smaller to mid-size RVs. And so this is what we have inside of this unit are large coils and airflow boosting fins. It's going to help pull the heat out more efficiently so your RV stays cooler with less strain on the system. Looking at some dimensions of this unit itself, looking at the overall length from end to end, we're sitting right at about 39 inches long and then the overall width about 28 inches wide.

And then this is considered to be like a medium profile sized air conditioner. So the height is almost 14 inches tall. This is gonna weigh about 80 pounds or so. Now, this unit is built with copper tubing and secure joints, so that's gonna help it stay sealed and running season after season. The streamlined medium profile black polished shroud is gonna help reduce drag and it's going to look sleek and it's gonna blend in well with most modern RV aesthetics.

I just wanted to pointed out specifically about this shroud that you have that polished shiny texture here on the sides and on the front. And then on the top and the back, we have more like a textured matte finish. So it's kinda like a two-tone finish. The cover itself is not like overly rigid or hard. It kind of has some give to it, it's a little bit flexible.

So all that to say, I don't think it's going to fracture easily or get cracked easily, if you happen to maybe hit a tree limb or something like that. I think there's gonna be a little more give to it. But ultimately I think it's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from water, debris, and things like that. Taking a closer look on this side of my table here, the air distribution box is going to give you a direct or ducted airflow. So you can open up the louvers here to allow the air to flow directly into the cabin, or you can close them there to push that air more through the existing duct work in your RV. We do have these grills here that'll pop out to allow you to remove the filter, remove the filters to wash them, let them dry, and then replace them, so the filters are reusable and very easy to clean. And this does have a low profile design. So as you can see, if you have this installed in your ceiling, it's really not gonna take up a whole lot of head space. It's gonna look pretty sleek. This is probably gonna stick down about about an inch and a half or so from your ceiling, so it's not gonna take up a whole lot of headroom. Looking at the overall length, this is gonna be about 20 inches long. The overall width about 19 inches wide. This includes everything that you see here. You're also gonna get the control box, which is gonna be basically the brains of this system, hardware. And then I wanted to point out this thermostat here. This is an easy, this is going to give you easy temperature control. This simple digital thermostat lets you adjust settings. It's going to have a clear back lit display. It's gonna be easy to read day or night, so you're not gonna be fumbling around with buttons in the dark. It's gonna be a simple install. It does come with hardware. And in case you were wondering about the size, about four inches tall, two and a half inches wide, and about an inch thick. So I wanted to make you aware of the fact that this system is not going to be backwards compatible with any other air conditioner system or component from 2024 or earlier due to the fact that this unit does use the new R32 refrigerant, which does meet the 2025 EPA regulations. So because of that, if you have any other additional components in your RV or camper that's 2024 or older, it's not, more than likely it's not gonna be compatible with this system because of that new R32 refrigerant. So that's why with this kit you can proceed with confidence knowing that the air distribution box, the control box, the thermostat, everything is designed to work together with this unit and it's gonna be compatible with that new R32 refrigerant. One other thing that I wanted to mention is sometimes it's not necessarily cold enough to run your furnace or to always dig out those extra blankets. In that case, this does have a separate heat strip that's available. That heat strip is not a furnace replacement, it's just to give you enough heat to take the chill or the edge off of those cooler mornings. So if that's something you're interested in taking a look at, I am including our item number there. It's gonna be a relatively simple install to this air conditioner unit. So if that's something that you would like, you could add that to your order. Now, if you happen to have any other additional questions about this system or about any other variations of this system that we might have, please feel free to reach back out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thanks for joining me.

Product arrived in 2 shipments. Upon arrival checked for damage. None noticed. Upon removal from box found small crack in cover at bottom not far from screw attachment. Most likely from shipping. This was cosmetic and would not effect function of unit. Installed unit wired and tested. Temperature reached 67 degrees in rv in about 4 hours. Much better than the 98 degrees prior to installation.

Just got this Coleman-Mach 3 RV AC 13.5K BTU roof air conditioner installed this morning. Replaced a 16 year old non-functioning 15K Coleman. Works fine cooling a 1999 Avion 5V 38ft. 5th wheel. Single air with ducted system. Dual pane glass windows and super thick insulation. Unit is located at 7800 ft of elevation in the White Mountains of AZ. It will perform nicely in these conditions. Easy to operate rotary digital thermostat got rewired at the same location as the old switch and slide control unit. Running nicely. Thank You Will at trailer for a very smooth transaction and fast delivery! Great mobile techs did a super clean and efficient install. Shoutout to David's RV Service out of Lakeside AZ.
