Question:

Ive just finished installing the Stealth Hitch receiver/towing kit SH87FRT on my 2022 XC60. I realized one key item I overlooked in my research was the ground-to-ball height, which is only 18inch to the top of the ball. The small camper trailer I want to pull recommends 22inch to the ball base. Since the Stealth setup doesnt really allow me to replace the ball mount with a bigger riser, Im wondering what the best solution is to get the ball up to the needed height.

Hello Brian, thanks for reaching out. We do have a product that will help with this. Take a look at the following:

- Ball Mount for Stealth Hitches Hidden Receiver Hitch # 391BMU7S

This provides more rise than the standard ball mount that came with your hitch. This will raise the ball height to 20-1/2" when installed on a 2022 Volvo XC60. This will allow your trailer to be much closer to level. Typically, anything within 3" of level is considered safe to tow.

Is this the same part as the Stealth Hitch 7" short ball mount, or is it a custom part made by Etrailer? Also, with the length of the mount being 10" from pin to ball, does it affect the tow weight ratings for the hitch?

@BrianS The part I mentioned is something we get direct from Stealth Hitch. Their part number is SHX88170. Using this would not change the weight ratings for the hitch.
