Will Patriot Adjustable Ball Mount PH94FR Have Clearance For Bulldog Coupler?
Published 09/02/2025 >
Question:
I’ve heard some adjustable mounts have clearance issues with Bulldog couplers when turning. Any trouble like that with the PH94FR?

Nate, great catch. Some channel mounts do sit close enough that certain pointed-nose couplers can rub during tight turns (very rare and unlikely). The Patriot’s # PH94FR gusset is set far enough back that any standard couplers clear just fine. If you’ve got one of those sharper Bulldog designs, I still wouldn't worry as there is plenty of clearance (see attached photo).
What kind of trailer are you pulling?
