Will etrailer ATV Winch # e98988 Fit 2005 Polaris Sportsman 400

Question:
Hello. I have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 400 ATV and would like to mount a winch on it, primarily for lifting a blade for snow removal. I have seen the video you have for the installation of your ATV Winch part number e98988, but I can see that the mounting location is different on the 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 in the video. Will this winch work for the ATV I have and do you have a mounting bracket that will fit? Thank you.

Hey Brian, we don't have any custom winch mounting plates for your 2005 Polaris Sportsman 400 at this time but if you can source one elsewhere then yes the etrailer ATV Winch # e98988 would work well with it. It does require a bracket to install and from what I looked up your ATV does not have one from the factory.

For ATV Winch part number e98988, the specification indicates that the mounting bolt pattern is 3-1/8" x 3-1/8". This would appear to be the distance between the two bolts attaching the winch to the bottom plate. What are the distances between the 4 outside holes in the bottom plate that the winch is bolted to? Thank you.
