What is Width of Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Frame Brackets  

How wide are the brackets. The clear space following my propane tank enclosure starts at approximately 31.5 inches from the center of the ball enclosure. I might be able to wiggle a little bit more room if I cut into the cover, I assume the max position of the equalizer hitch bracket is centered on the 32-inch line, therefore I need to know the brackets width. Thanks
