Hey Michael, the Bulldog Winch Light Duty On-Board Air Compressor # BDW46TJ draws at max just under 40 amps.

Yes, it did help. 40 amps is too high. I want to mount the compressor in the rear of my Ford Excursion for rear air bags and for tire inflation. With an FLA of 40 amps, I would need a 2 AWG cable to maintain voltage drop to less than 3% due to the length of cable run. I purchased a VIAIR 300 instead.
