Are There Covers for the Sides of Thetford 402C Cassette Toilets?

Updated 09/10/2025 | Published 08/29/2025

Question:

For the 402c cassette toilet - is there a cover for the opening in the housing opposite of the cassette access opening? I’m installing in an outhouse and the access side is flush to a wall with an access door. The other side of the toilet is exposed. Would like to know if there is a cover for the opening in the housing?

Hey Kimberly, thanks for reaching out!

The Thetford C402C Cassette Toilet # TH99UE is designed to be budded up against walls on the sides which is why there aren't covers for both sides. What I recommend doing is coming up with a cover to match the aesthetic of your outhouse (like a wood panel) since Thetford doesn't have anything for it.

Hopefully that helps you out with an idea!

I like the idea of using this for an outhouse! It definitely makes the logistics of an outhouse build a little bit easier.

Thanks Jon! Yeah we figured as much, thanks for checking into it and getting back to me. We ended up creating a fabric curtain and velcroing it in place.
