Question:
Can this latch be mounted on a left-hand opening door, or does it only work on the right side?

Angela, you can set the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch # M393FR up for either side. The handle bracket can be flipped depending on which way your door swings. That’s handy if you’ve got a custom trailer or want to match your existing setup.
Which way does your current side door open - hinges on the left or right? If you want to flip it you'd need to drill new holes in your trailer door more than likely.
And for other shoppers, did you keep your latch orientation the same or flip it to the other side when you replaced yours? If you flipped it, how difficult was it?
