Looking for Info On Replacing Hub on Trailer Axle
Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 08/26/2025 >
Question:
Good morning, I have a Dexter axle on my travel trailer and I’m looking to replace the brakes, drum and possibly wheel bearing. Unfortunately this weekend the one side brakes applied and completely smoked the drum. I have a photo if you can identify it’s a 5 lug axle.

Hey Tom, if you can get me the axle capacity on your trailer that would be all I would need to pick out a replacement hub. Since it's a 5 lug I would guess and say it's probably a 3,500 lb axle.
