Would like to add awning to 2004 monaco motorhome. Local shop said it cant be done without taking side apart and add bracing inside. Can awning be added without inside bracing?

Hey Bud, RV awnings like the part # LC730492 are designed to attach to the structural framing of the RV similar to how you try and nail into a stud in your wall when hanging something heavy if possible. No additional bracing is generally needed. How long of an awning are you looking for? The part # LC730492 is a 16 foot awning.

@BudR Yes, you will be able to find a stud in the RV wall and that's what the awning arms should attach to.
