Does Velit Gas RV Heater Have The Same Features And Heat Level As Diesel Model?
Published 08/21/2025 >
Question:
Does the Velit gasoline heater have the same auto-run and thermostat features as the diesel version? Or is it more basic since it’s gas? I really want gas since that's what my Thor RV van runs on.

Leo, both the gas and diesel Velit rv heaters are "feature-matched". You’ll have the same thermostat mode, 5-level power mode, auto-run scheduling, same heating and sound levels, and quick fuel pump priming right from the control screen. The only difference is which fuel type. So since your Thor RV runs on gas, I'd use the gas model # VE46QV; it would be easy to tap into the fuel tank since it usually has an aux port, or you can use the included standpipe (which is what Velit and I recommend for best fit).
Do you think you’ll mostly run in thermostat mode, or do you prefer to set a fixed power level?
Other rv heater owners, which mode do you use most?
