Question:
I see this comes in both gasoline and diesel. My van is a 2019 Transit with the EcoBoost engine. Is there a reason I should pick the gas version over the diesel one?

Cheryl, since your Transit is gasoline-powered, the gas Velit # VE46QV is the cleaner fit - it saves you from having to add a separate diesel tank just for the heater. You just tap into your gasoline tank and go from there. Functionally, both versions are the same: 14,000 BTU, 12V operation, rated for -30°F to 75°F. The difference really comes down to fuel source.
Are you looking to heat the whole van in winter, or just keep it comfortable for camping?
In regard to running the fuel from your transit, Velit says you can use the aux fuel port on the tank if below 5,000 feet. If above that, you'll instead use the included fuel standpipe.

I want to spend winters skiing out of it. With temps as low as 20 below. Do you think the gas is just as safe as diesel would be my only concern. It's a ford transit 250 all wheel med. Roof 148 cargo. All insulated .
