Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out! Yes, the Velit RV Gasoline Heater # VE46QV will work as a replacement for your Webasto Air Top 2000 STC, but it isn't a direct plug-and-play swap. You'll need to make some modifications during installation, including drilling new mounting holes and adapting the fuel line connections. You can reuse your existing fuel line as long as it meets the Velit's fuel line specifications, but you'll need to use the fuel pump, wiring, and controller designed for the new heater. You'll also need to make sure the combustion air intake and exhaust are properly routed and sealed.
What vehicle do you have your Webasto installed in?

I bought the Velit heater for my Promaster Van build. We live in Colorado and often camp at high altitudes up to 10,000’ which was the reason I picked the Velit. I placed mine behind the driver seat in the bottom of a galley cabinet. A friend with a heater under the passenger seat had issues with the exhaust pipe exiting under the sliding door and fumes would come into the van when the door was opened. It took me a few weeks to get it installed, at the time Velit was having employee issues and we had to return a few parts that were preventing us from updating the firmware. They finally sent a new unit and it has been working great ever since. I have a bulkhead at the rear and of the galley next to the double mattress. The thermostat is mounted high on the aft side of this partition so I can turn it on while still in my sleep bag. We also have a partition curtain behind the cab swivel seats that helps retain heat in the back. We use the heater in the evening when reading but turn it off at night, get into our warm down bag, then start it up in the morning to get dressed. We had a propane Propex heater in our Westy and the gasoline Velit works just as well and is fairly quiet. There is a manual setting that allows you to adjust the fan level and a faint click from the fuel pump. Let me know if you need more details. Alan
