Hey Jon!
The Front Runner Slimline II Platform Rack # FR26FV installs in the "ditches" so while you'll be drilling into the roof of your 2019 Colorado, it's not directly on top.
With that being said, I do have a way to get you a similar setup on your truck without having to drill into your truck roof at all. The Yakima BaseLine Foor Rack # Y62SB clamps on your door jambs, and then can be used with their LockNLoad Platform Rack # Y05044-39. So, this rack will clamp to your vehicle frame as opposed to drilling into the roof.
