Question:
I have a 2008 Bear Boat trailer with Surge brakes. It says replace with P/N 34039 which is a old number for your product. What is the updated number and do you have a user instructions available you could send me? Also is it compatible with disc brakes? Thank you, James

Hey James! So that would bring us to the Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Brake Actuator # DX97FR which corresponds to your 34039 number. It is the replacement inner section but not the entire actuator. This is for drum brakes only.
If you have disc brakes, or plan to swap to disc brakes, you'd actually need Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Actuator # DX39FR for single axle trailer, or the Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Actuator # DX99FR for tandem axle trailer. Both of these replacement inner sections are safe for disc brakes only.
For the instructions, you can find them on Dexter's site by typing in their part number. I'm working on getting these instructions added to our site for you as well.
Let me know what you think or if you need any other parts for your setup.
