Troubleshooting Lights On Bike Rack Not Working When Flat Towing

Question:
* 2022 Thor OMNI Motorhome * 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave flat towed with bicycle rack...light problems - Normal driving all lights work fine including bike rack lights - Being flat towed all lights work fine except bike rack lights do not work with lights in AUTO but will wok with lights in ON position, Curtis Auxiliary LED Indicator lights. * Why am I having this problem? - need different lights - wiring problem - what is the fix for this Thank you.

Hey Steve,
It could be a couple of issues causing that. Most likely since the do work with the lights ON, it is an issue with low power draw of the LED lights and the automatic headlight system being designed to detect a higher power draw of standard bulbs. What kind of flat tow wiring are you using on your setup?
With that said I would recommend starting by checking all the grounds to make sure everything is seated properly. Another solution could be to add in load resistors to the circuit that would mimic a higher draw on a standard bulb. If none of that fixes the issue let me know and I can continue to troubleshoot for you.

Hey Steve, did you have a chance to check the grounds or try adding load resistors to your setup? I'm asking because your experience could help others who are dealing with similar lighting issues while flat towing.
