How to Add Extra RV Propane Connections for Gas Grill and Fish Cooker

Updated 08/08/2025 | Published 08/05/2025

Question:

Im looking for the proper hoses and fittings to connect my current LP gas grill and fish cooker that both use tanks, to a permanent LP gas piping system. Both of these appliances have high pressure regulators with control valves to allow for high flow and high heat. Can you offer any help on which hoses and fittings I need? Thanks

Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out!

For your application you need the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103613-MBS which provides a thru-fitting from your tank to the regulator pigtail, and then has a quick-disconnect tee fitting as well as a 1 lb propane tank tee fitting like what you will see for a smaller gas grill.

What kind of connections do you have on your grill and fish cooker?

Thanks Jon. Just for clarification, I have 2 separate appliances, each have a female threaded connector for the external threads on a 20 lb tank. I want to connect them to a 1/2" black iron pipe thread. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob

@RobertM Makes sense! In that case you'll want the JR Products RV LP Gas Manifold # JR65CR and either the Adapter # JR32CR or the Adapter # JR52CR. I wasn't able to find any kind of adapter that got these to the Type 1 fitting with the outside threads like you mentioned, so I recommend reaching out to MB Sturgis to see if they can help you with a custom adapter.
