Will Solera 12V Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit Work With Dometic 8500

Question:
Hello, Im looking to do a 12v electric awning upgrade for my old RV. From the description, it looks like its a Dometic 8500 or similar, but I cant be sure. I was wondering if theres a way to tell if the Solera 69 kit would work for it. I measure the original arms at 77 top bracket to bottom bracket. Original arms were destroyed in a wind storm. Hey Dan! Since your old brackets were 77" we know you have enough space for the Solera 12V Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434723 with 69" tall brackets. The only concern would be which awning you originally had. If you're sure it is a Dometic 8500 then these arms are going to work. They are also compatible with the 9000, 9100, Sunchaser, and Weather Pro.
If you had a different Dometic awning we can't confirm compatibility and replacing the roller/fabric may also be necessary. I would look for part numbers on the old damaged arms to see if there is anything you can identify or Dometic can identify to verify which awning you had.
